I travel not to go anywhere, but to go.  I travel for travel’s sake.  The great affair is to move.  ~Robert Louis Stevenson

The call of the unknown is silent but powerful. It is the basic human urge that propelled mankind through the ages and kept us moving forward. With our eyes wide open with wonderment and a sense of anticipation and fear, we ventured out of our safe havens. Into the wooded jungles. Into the mountains. Into the deserts. Into the open oceans. Into the deep waters. Into the open skies.

We established bases and built houses, constructed fortresses and formed kingdoms to settle down. But we also tamed horses and built motor cars, built planes, ships and spaceships to move on.

Starting with the world of sticks and stones, we moved into the digital world of 1s and 0s.

This blog starts with a similar urge. A trip from /home that starts with no specific direction, a lot of excitement, and a staid determination to stumble upon something new, something interesting. The photos on this site are from my road trips that I “daringly” took – armed only with rudimentary tools like an iPhone, an iPhone charger, cash, credit and ATM cards in an air conditioned four wheeler.

Welcome to my Digital Road Trip!
